Review of the Season
The American Soccer League planned to start its 45th season on April 22 and end the season on August 26.
The 10-club league had four teams in the Western Division. These were the California Sunshine, Los Angeles Skyhawks, Sacramento Spirits and Southern California Lazers.

Los Angeles Skyhawks – Lumber City Schedule

The Eastern Division consisted of six teams. These were the defending ASL champion New Jersey Americans, the Connecticut Yankees, the New York Apollo, the Cleveland Cobras, the New York Eagles and the Indianapolis Daredevils.
