Review of the Season
After several years of soccer being in a constant turmoil on the American East Coast, a move was made to organize the sport in a better and more solid way.
In September 1933 the reorganization of the American Soccer League was started. Former president Nat Agar was removed and a new board of directors elected.
The four members of the new American Soccer League were Brookhattan, Brooklyn Field Club, Irish-Americans of Kearny and New York Hakoah Americans. In September 1933 they were joined by the Scots-Americans of Kearny.
In October the First German club of Newark, New Jersey, and Brooklyn Celtics were added. The Hispano club of Brooklyn joined the league in November. Shortly afterwards the Philadelphia Germans were accepted into the league.
In January 1934 the Brooklyn Field Club and the Hispanos merged to become the Brooklyn Hispanos.
